Fulham v City (League) – Sun 18 Sep 2011 [2-2]

City dropped their first points of the season thanks to a docile second half performance at Craven Cottage.

Bit of a disappointing result after going up by 2 goals.

Two goals to the good and seemingly on the way to a fifth straight Barclays Premier League win, the Blues fell asleep against the bottom side and paid the penalty as the home team grabbed an unlikely draw.

2 Aguero (18 & 46mins mins) first half goals were not enough to take the points home

City v Napoli (UEFA CL) – Wed 14 Sep 2011 [1-1]

A tough match, Napoli played 3 at the back and we couldn’t handle the counter attacking. Cavani and Lavezzi were awesome and looked deadly every time they broke forward. This match was going to be costly in the race for Champions League progression.

Cavani grabbed a goal which looked to be the winner but Kolarov grabbed an equaliser with a cracking freekick

City v Wigan (League) – Sat 10 Sep 2011 [3-0 win]

Aguero hatrick (13,63,& 68mins) puts Wigan to the sword.

We truly are blessed to have such a player at our club, I wonder if he will go on to make history!

City running away with it :)

Spurs v City (League) – Sun 28 Aug 2011 [1-5 win]

Dzeko showed just why he has become first choice for Roberto Mancini’s new galacticos with the brilliant four-goal blast that devastated Tottenham in a remarkable White Hart Lane victory.

The Bosnia striker, who couldn’t buy a Premier League goal last season, snapped up a perfect hat-trick then added an injury-time stunner to emphasise his own potency and that of the buoyant Blues.

Samir Nasri conjured an impressive enough midfield debut on his instant return to north London, but his performance – and a good few others – was totally overshadowed by Dzeko’s irresistible display.

Superb performance from City, what a player Dzeko is, 4 special goals, I find it hard to choose between the backwards header and the amazing strike from 30 yards.

Gotta love the grin on Nasri’s face after Dzeko scores again.

Bolton v City (League) – Sun 21 Aug 2011 [2-3 win]

City went back to the top of the Premier League following a blood and thunder 3-2 victory over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium.

First-half goals from man-of-the-match David Silva and Gareth Barry put City two-up before Ivan Klasnic reduced arrears before the break.

Edin Dzeko scored just after the re-start and it was the Bosnian’s strike that proved to be the winner, despite Kevin Davies pulling another goal back for Bolton just past the hour.

There haven’t been that many occasions in the past where these two teams have gone into the game knowing the winner would top the embryonic Premier League table, but with both sides starting their campaigns with a 4-0 win, the summit awaited the victors of this Greater Manchester derby.

A great start to the season and City looking strong

City v Swansea (League) – Mon 15 Aug 2011 [4-0 win]

A fantastic win at the Etihad and the most amazing debut I have ever seen.

After a strong start from Swansea and impressive control of the ball the quality of forward play finally paid off.

4 second half goals from Dzeko (57mins), Aguero (68mins & 90+2), Silva (71mins) put Swansea to the sword and added 4 goals to our tally.

The Final goal from Aguero was one of my favourite moments of the season. I looked at my wife and she looked at me and we were both blown away.

Amazing to see a gantastic player like Aguero in the flesh for the first time, and what a debut at that.

scores 2 and sets one up, think Kim has a crush on him!

City v United (CS) – Sun 07 Aug [2v3 loss]

City saw a two-goal lead slip against Manchester United in the Community Shield to lose 3-2 in a gut-wrenching derby at Wembley.

Goals from Joleon Lescott and Edin Dzeko had put the Blues in command against the Reds, but Chris Smalling and Nani had levelled the scores before the hour-mark as both sides served up a Sunday afternoon treat for the watching millions around the world.

A large turnout from our Supporters club with most leaving having seen a great game but wrong result.

More important Derbies to be had throughout the season surely!
